BLOG 1: Why I wrote “Lightworker”

Why did I write the book? I didn’t actually have much choice in the matter. The bliss that followed the death of my ego was all-encompassing and (so far) permanent. In that paradoxical way in which most things work, the sudden personal transformation was both ridiculously obvious and deeply mysterious. Almost overnight, I had broken free from life-long depression and landed in a place of safety and inner peace. The relief I felt was so profound, that all I wanted to do was share this breakthrough with everyone I knew. If I could find peace, everyone could do it! I didn’t have any advantages - no spiritual or religious leanings, no scientific training, no fame or material resources. The only thing I had was a willingness to try anything that might stop the pain of pathological loneliness. A willingness to change.

My story of suffering is not unique; most everyone we meet has endured trauma. As a person who has always solved personal problems through writing, I documented the entire process, before during and after the breakthrough, little knowing that it would become a road map for others to follow. Accepting that the trauma did not define me was the first step towards healing. If you are ready to change your perspective, too, I invite you to read my story.
